Disclaimer
Limits of Zome's free AI report and its estimates, the illustrative photos and example screens on zome.io, third-party data, and why results can't be promised.
This disclaimer explains the limits of the information on zome.io, including the free AI report. It forms part of our website terms of use.
General information only
Our guides, articles, checklists and product pages give general information for owners of trade and home service businesses. They're not legal, tax, accounting, financial, insurance or licensing advice. Laws and platform rules change and differ from place to place, so check with a qualified professional before acting on anything that matters to your business.
Where our content uses numbers in examples, the numbers are hypothetical unless we say otherwise.
The free AI report
The report is an automated snapshot of a business's online presence at the moment it runs. Please keep these limits in mind when you read it.
What it checks
- The website checks look only at the homepage, the site's robots.txt file and one sitemap. Other pages aren't checked, so something that exists elsewhere on the site, such as a booking page, may not be counted.
- Some checks can't always run. For example, a website may block automated checks, a data source may not respond, or information such as the city may be missing. Checks that can't run are left out of the score, and the report's notes say what wasn't checked.
- Results can change from one run to the next, because website speed, Google's data and search results all change over time.
Scores and grades
The score out of 100, the category scores and the grades (Poor, Fair, Good and Great) come from Zome's own scoring method. They reflect our judgment of what helps a local service business get found and contacted. They're not a Google score, an industry standard or a rating of the quality of anyone's work.
Google ranking
The ranking in the report comes from one Google Places search for your trade and city, such as "plumber in Denver, CO". What real customers see on Google Search and Google Maps differs from person to person, depending on things like their location, their device and the exact words they use. Treat your position in the report as a guide, not a measurement of what every customer sees.
The AI summary
The summary at the top of the report may be written by an AI model using the report's findings. We instruct the model to use only those findings, and we check that every number it writes appears in them. AI can still get emphasis or wording wrong, so treat the summary as a starting point and check the detailed findings before you act. If the AI summary isn't available, the summary is written from fixed rules instead.
Missed-revenue estimate
If you enter an average job value, the report may estimate what contact problems could be costing you. The estimate counts the problems found that can stop a customer from getting in touch, such as having no tap-to-call number or no way to request a quote online. It then assumes that each of those problems costs one job a month at the value you entered.
That assumption is ours. It isn't a measurement or a market statistic. The estimate is a rough illustration, not a prediction, and your real figure could be lower or higher. It isn't financial advice.
Third-party data
The report relies on data from Google (Places and PageSpeed Insights) and on the website itself. We don't control that data and can't guarantee that it's complete, current or correct.
Information about other businesses, such as their names, ratings and review counts, is public Google information shown only for comparison. It isn't an endorsement or a criticism of those businesses.
Illustrative photography and video
The photographs and video on zome.io are illustrative. Many were created with AI image and video tools, and some are licensed stock photography. They show representative people, places and work. They don't show Zome staff, customers, partners or real jobs, and nobody shown in them endorses Zome.
Example interfaces
Phone screens, notifications, messages, dashboards, booking pages, reports and websites shown on the site are examples. The business names (such as "Summit Plumbing"), customer names, prices, ratings, reviews, times and figures in them are made up to show how a feature is designed to work. They aren't real customer data or results.
Some features shown are still in development or are rolling out in stages. For example, the Zome app is in development, with early access for founding partners. Your order form sets out exactly what your business receives.
No guarantee of rankings or results
Google and other platforms decide how businesses rank, which reviews are shown and whether profiles and edits are approved. They use factors they don't fully disclose and change often. Customer demand also depends on things like your market, prices, season and competition.
So Zome can't and doesn't guarantee:
- any ranking or position on Google or any other platform
- any number of calls, leads, bookings, reviews or jobs
- any level of revenue, or any return on what you spend
- that any platform will approve, keep or display your profile, content or reviews
When we describe what Zome is designed to do, we're describing goals and methods, not promising outcomes. Zome is onboarding its first founding partners and doesn't publish customer results.
Reviews
Zome helps businesses ask their customers for reviews. We don't write or buy reviews, we don't offer rewards for them, and we don't ask only the customers a business expects to be happy. We can't control whether customers leave a review or what they say, and review platforms may filter or remove reviews under their own policies.
Pricing and availability
Plan descriptions on the site are summaries. Founding partner rates are shared on a demo and confirmed in writing. Nothing on the site is an offer that you can accept.
Other companies' names
Google, Google Maps, Google Business Profile, Instagram and other product and company names mentioned on the site belong to their owners. Mentioning them doesn't mean they sponsor or endorse Zome.
Errors and changes
We work to keep the site accurate, but it may contain errors or become out of date. We may correct or change any content at any time without notice.
