Website terms of use

These terms apply to your use of zome.io, including the free AI report, our guides and the demo request form. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

"Zome", "we", "us" and "our" mean the business that operates zome.io. "You" means the person using the site. If you use the site for a business, "you" also means that business, and you confirm that you're allowed to act for it.

These terms cover the website only. If your business subscribes to Zome, your order form, the customer service agreement and the platform terms govern the services. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information, and our disclaimer explains the limits of the report and other site content.

Using the site

You may use the site to learn about Zome, run the free AI report, read our guides and contact us. You must follow the law and these terms when you do.

We may change, suspend or stop any part of the site at any time, including the free report. Zome is onboarding founding partners, and some features roll out in stages, so the site may describe features that aren't yet available to everyone.

The free AI report

• The report is free and doesn't need an account. We may limit how often it can be run, and we may not be able to finish a report when a website or data source can't be reached.
• You can run it for your own business or to look at the public online presence of another business. Don't use it to harass or harm a business, or in a way that misrepresents who you are.
• When you run a report, our scanner visits the website you enter, as described in our privacy policy. Only enter public website addresses. Don't use the report to send repeated requests to a website or to test systems you aren't allowed to test.
• The report is an automated, point-in-time estimate that relies on third-party data. Read the disclaimer before you act on it.
• You may share your own report. Don't present any report as a Zome endorsement, certification or official rating of a business.

Demo requests and messages

When you request a demo or contact us, give accurate information and share only contact details you're allowed to share. Asking for a demo doesn't commit you or Zome to anything.

Plan descriptions on the site are summaries. Founding partner rates and plan details are confirmed in writing before you sign anything, and nothing on the site is an offer that you can accept.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the site in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights
• try to get around rate limits, security measures or access restrictions
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy site content or to run reports in bulk, other than search engine crawlers that follow our robots.txt file
• try to make our servers reach private networks or systems, or use the site to probe, scan or attack any system
• overload, disrupt or damage the site or the services it relies on
• send malicious code, spam or unlawful content through the site's forms
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection to a person or business
• copy, frame or mirror the site, or use it to build a competing product

We may block access from anyone who breaks these rules.

Content and intellectual property

The site and its content belong to Zome or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. That includes text, guides, checklists, designs, graphics, photographs, video, the Zome name and logo, and the software behind the site.

You may view the site, and you may print or download reasonable parts of our guides and checklists to use in your own business. Short quotes with a link back to the page they come from are fine. Otherwise, you must not copy, republish, sell or adapt site content, or remove any copyright or other notices, without our written permission.

Don't use the Zome name, logo or brand in a way that suggests we endorse you, your business or your products.

Photography and video on the site are illustrative, and the interfaces shown are examples. Our disclaimer explains more.

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, please follow our copyright and takedown policy.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Third-party sites and services

The site links to and relies on services run by others, such as Instagram and Google. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Disclaimers

The site, including the free report, is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, Zome makes no warranties of any kind about the site, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error free or secure, or that the report will be complete or correct.

Nothing on the site is legal, tax, financial or other professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• Zome is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the site or the report
• Zome's total liability for all claims relating to the site is limited to 100 US dollars

Some places don't allow these exclusions or limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.

Indemnity

If you use the site for a business, you agree to cover Zome's reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from claims by others that are caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site, to the extent the law allows.

Ending your access

We may suspend or end your access to the site at any time if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms. The sections on content and intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law continue to apply after that.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after that date, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Zome is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. The courts where Zome is established have jurisdiction over disputes about the site.

If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

General

• If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
• If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganization, merger or sale of our business.
• These terms, together with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and Zome about your use of the site.
