The short version
- Zome uses a few other companies to host the site, store data, send email and texts, answer calls and write text with AI.
- Each one is used only for the feature that needs it, and each handles information under its own terms.
- We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- This list matches the privacy policy, and we update it when a company is added or removed.
A plain-language summary, for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
When you use zome.io, the free AI report or the Zome app, a few other companies process information on our behalf. This page names them, says what each one does for us and what it receives. It matches the "Who we share information with" and "Who helps us run Zome" sections of the privacy policy, which explain how we use the information.
The companies we use
Each company is used only when the matching feature is turned on, and each handles information under its own terms.
| Company | What it does for Zome | What it receives | Where in Zome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts zome.io and the app, runs the server code for the report and forms, runs scheduled jobs, and connects a business's own domain to its website. | The technical details of each request (IP address, browser and device type, page and time), and the domain names and DNS records a business connects. | The site and the app |
| Neon | Hosts the database (managed Postgres). | What we save: demo requests, forms and saved scans, and for a business its account, customers, requests and photos. | The site's forms and scans, and the app |
| Resend | Sends email. | The recipient's address and the message. That means the alerts our forms trigger, a checklist link or a copy of your report, and for a business its booking confirmations, review requests and reminders. | The site and the app |
| Twilio | Sends text messages, sends the one-time code that confirms your mobile number, and handles phone calls, including a recording when call recording is on. | Phone numbers, the text of messages, call details and recordings. | The free report and the app |
| ElevenLabs | Answers calls for the AI receptionist, only when a business turns it on. | The call's audio, a transcript, the caller's phone number and the details the caller gives. The recording is kept for 90 days. A copy of the transcript is also saved in the business's request in Zome. | The app |
| Anthropic | Writes and reads with AI: the summary at the top of a report, website copy, review replies, descriptions of a business's photos, and what the AI receptionist says on a call. | For a report summary, a structured list of findings: the business name, trade and city, the scores, the issues found, the Google rating, review count and ranking, and the public names, ratings and review counts of up to three competing businesses. The list holds findings, not the raw HTML of your pages. After a report is unlocked by email, Anthropic also writes the website copy from the business name, trade, town, services and towns served, plus the about text and service descriptions found on the website you entered (up to 900 characters of about text), and translates a Spanish report. For a business in the app: the details it gave us to write its website copy, the text and rating of a review to draft a reply, photos it uploaded so each can be described, and what a caller says when the receptionist is on. | The free report and the app |
| Business search and map links (Places), mobile speed tests (PageSpeed Insights), real-user speed data for a website (Chrome UX Report), the Business Profile connection when an owner connects it, and the map in a report. Some emails we send also load two fonts from Google Fonts when the reader opens them. | The business name and city you enter, your website address, and for a connected Business Profile the reviews and updates you ask for. For fonts, the request your email program makes when it shows the email. | The free report, the app and some emails | |
| Stripe | Takes card payments and runs subscription billing. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page. | Billing details and the plan. | The app |
| fal.ai | Enlarges and sharpens photos that a business brings over from its old website, and, after you ask for a full report by email, up to four of the best photos from the website you entered. | The photos. | The free report and the app |
| Cloudflare | Runs a security check to stop automated abuse. | The result of the check, and what your browser sends to Cloudflare to run it. | The free report and the app |
| Browser push services | Deliver a browser notification when an owner has turned notifications on. The service is run by the maker of the owner's browser, such as Google, Apple or Mozilla. | A short title and message, a link address and the address the browser gave us for the owner's device. | The app |
| Slack and Discord | Receive an alert for our team about a request, when we have those alerts switched on. | The details of the request. | The site's forms |
Instagram (Meta) handles your messages only if you choose to contact us there, under its own terms. We don't send it anything.
What this list does not include
- Analytics and advertising companies. We don't use any on zome.io or the app's public pages today. See the cookie policy.
- Where each company processes information. This page doesn't say. Ask us where a specific vendor processes your data. Our providers operate in the United States and other countries, so information may be processed outside the country where you live. The privacy policy explains this under "International transfers".
- A business's own tools. A website Zome builds for a business is that business's own website. If the business adds its own Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel, those tags load on its site at its choice, and they and the companies behind them are the business's responsibility.
