When you run the free scan, Zome builds a new website from your Google profile and your current site. It stays private until you claim it. Nothing goes live until you publish it.
Claim your website
- Open your scan report and press Claim it free (or Claim your website at the top of the page).
- Enter your name, email and a password, then press Create account and claim.
- Zome opens the editor with a note: "This website is yours now."
Already have a Zome account? Press Log in under the form, then press Claim this website.
Want something changed first? On your preview, under Want something different?, press what you'd change, like Services and prices. After you claim, the editor opens on that part of your site.
If your preview link has expired
Preview links work for 30 days. After that, the link offers Run a new free scan, which builds a fresh website from your site as it is today.
If you emailed yourself the links from your scan and ticked Remind me once before the link to my new website expires, the reminder email has a link to keep your preview for another 30 days.
Publish your website
- In the editor, look over your site. Click any text to change it.
- Press Publish website at the top right.
- You'll see "Your website is live", with a View site link.
You can also publish from Website by pressing Publish next to your website's address. Anyone on your team can publish.
After you publish
Changes you make in the editor stay in a draft. Visitors keep seeing the live version until you press Publish changes. To throw away a draft, press Discard changes.
While your website isn't published, only you and your team can see it, when you're logged in.
Your free address
Every Zome website has a free address. Go to Website, open the Domain tab, and look under Your free address. It keeps working even after you connect your own domain.
Take your website offline
Go to Website and press Unpublish. Visitors stop seeing your site until you publish it again. Only the account owner can do this.
