Your business details appear on your website, in the information Google reads, and in messages to customers. Change them in Settings, then press Save settings at the bottom.
Business details
- Business name, Phone, street address, city, state or province, and ZIP or postal code. Leave the street address empty if customers don't visit you.
- Email: new request alerts go here. Only the owner can change it.
- Trust details: License number, Year founded, We are fully insured and We take emergency calls. They only show on your website when you fill them in.
Opening hours
- Under Opening hours, check your Time zone. Reminders, booking days and your calendar follow it.
- Tick the days you're open and set the times.
- Press Save settings.
Your hours decide which days customers can pick on your booking page, when the still-waiting reminder counts time, and what your instant reply says after hours.
Hours from Google
If Zome found your Google profile, it may have filled in your hours from there. The section then says they're from your Google profile, and Home asks you to check them. While Keep these in step with my Google profile is ticked, Zome updates them when your Google hours change.
- If they're right, press Save settings. Home marks them as checked, and they keep following Google.
- If you change a day, or untick the box and save, your hours are yours from then on. Google never changes them again.
Before we arrive
Under Before we arrive, write one note for every customer with a visit booked, like "Please keep pets inside and clear a path to the furnace." Up to 280 characters. It goes in the booking confirmation, the reminder the day before and on the customer's own page.
Closed days and announcements
For holidays, vacations and busy weeks, go to Settings, find Closed days and announcements, and press Save settings when you're done.
- Pause online booking until: pick a date and your booking page stops taking requests until then. It asks people to call instead. Leave it empty to take bookings.
- Closed dates: add a date, or a range with to, and an optional note like "Christmas". Customers can't pick those days on your booking page, your instant reply tells people when you open next, and the AI receptionist knows you're closed. To remove a range, clear both dates. Past dates drop off by themselves.
- Announcement on your website: one line, like "Closed Dec 24–26. Emergency calls still answered.", shown across the top of every page of your website. Leave it empty to hide it.
Notifications
Get an alert on your phone or computer the moment a new request or customer message comes in.
- In Settings, find Notifications.
- Press Turn on and allow notifications when your browser asks.
- Do this on each phone or computer you use.
On iPhone, first add Zome to your Home Screen: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open Zome from your Home Screen and turn notifications on there. On other phones, Put Zome on your home screen shows an Install button when your browser supports it.
If notifications are blocked, allow them for Zome in your browser's site settings, then come back.
Alerts about new requests, customer texts, accepted estimates and ratings come to every device where you turned notifications on. Once email or texting is connected, they also come by email to the address above (or by text to your business phone). Switching off New request alerts in Follow-ups stops the email and text alerts.
Connections
Connections shows whether email sending, texting, your Zome number and Google sync are connected. Until texting or email is connected, messages wait in Follow-ups for you to send.
Your account
Your account, near the bottom of Settings, is your own login, separate from the business details. Everyone on your team has their own.
- Your name: change it and press Save name.
- Login email: enter the new address and your password, then press Send confirmation link. Nothing changes until you open the link sent to the new address and press the button there. Your old address gets a note about the change.
- Change your password: enter your current password and a new one of at least 10 characters. Every other phone and computer is logged out, and you stay logged in here.
- Log out everywhere: logs you out on every device, this one included. Use it if you lost a phone.
