A price that offers a choice is easier to say yes to than one take-it-or-leave-it number. An estimate can offer options and add-ons on one page.
Start the estimate
Open the request in Inbox, and under Estimates press New estimate. Name the job under What it is for and add your lines. See Send an estimate and get it accepted.
Say how each line is offered
Under each line, choose one:
- Always included: part of every choice.
- Optional add-on (they can tick it): the customer decides, like hauling away the old unit.
- Part of Option 1, 2 or 3: the customer picks one option, like a repair or a replacement.
Name the options
Rename each option in the blue box under the lines, like Repair and Replace. The box also shows each option's total.
Example
- Diagnose and clear the line: Always included
- Repair the pipe section: Part of Option 1, named Repair
- Replace the whole line: Part of Option 2, named Replace
- Camera inspection: Optional add-on
You set every price. Zome never suggests one.
What the customer sees
Each option with its price, add-ons they can tick, and a total that changes as they choose. To accept, they type their full name, tick the box and press the accept button with the total.
When they accept
The estimate keeps exactly what they chose. That total goes on the job and the invoice, and the request shows what they picked.
Deposits and follow-ups
Deposits and the reminders that go out if the customer hasn't answered work as they do for any estimate. See Send an estimate and get it accepted.
