Connect your job software

If you run jobs in other software, connect it so Zome hears when a job is finished. Zome then adds the customer, marks the job done and sends your review request, exactly as if you'd marked the job done in Zome. Your reminders, win-back and referral thank-yous then work for those customers too.

Get your address

1. Go to Settings and find Your job software. Only the account owner can set it up.
2. Press Get my connection address, then Copy.

Keep the address private: anyone with it can add jobs to your account. If it gets out, press Make a new address. The old one stops working at once.

Connect it with Zapier or Make

Most job software can't send to an address on its own, so a tool like Zapier or Make passes each finished job along.

1. Create a new Zap (or a Make scenario).
2. For the trigger, choose your job software and its event for a finished job, such as a job closed, a visit completed or an invoice paid.
3. For the action, choose Webhooks (in Zapier) or HTTP (in Make), send a POST to your address, and choose JSON.
4. Map the fields below from your app, then run a test. Zapier or Make shows Zome's answer, and Your job software in Settings shows the last job received.

Check your Zapier or Make plan includes webhooks before you start.

The fields

• event: job_completed, or customer to add a customer without a job.
• name, phone, email, address: the customer. A phone number or an email is needed.
• job_id: the job's number in your app. A job sent twice is only counted once.
• job_title, amount, completed_at: what was done, the total, and the date it was finished.

Field names are flexible: customer_phone works as well as phone, and total as well as amount.

Review requests stay fair

Every finished job gets the same request, whatever the outcome. Two things are skipped so customers aren't pestered:

• A job finished more than 3 days before it reaches Zome (for example when an app sends its history) is added without a review request.
• A customer who was asked in the last 90 days isn't asked again, so a weekly visit doesn't mean a weekly request.
• At most 50 review requests a day are sent this way. Every job is still added. If your address ever got out, it couldn't be used to text strangers in bulk.

Customers added this way aren't signed up for marketing. Only their own opt-in does that.

Turn it off

Press Turn off. The address stops working, and the jobs already in Zome stay.
