Add a page
- Go to Website and press Pages and menu.
- Under Add a page, press Add on Financing, Warranty, Commercial work, About us or Blank page.
- The page opens with headings and a hint under each one. Write what you offer under each heading. The hints are only suggestions and never show on your website.
- Choose a Photo if you like: one already on your website, or one you uploaded in the editor.
- Tick Show on my website and press Save page.
The page goes live at its own address, like yoursite.com/financing, in your website's design. It ends with Book online and your phone number, and it's added to your sitemap for Google.
A page needs something written under at least one heading before it can show. Headings with nothing under them are left out. Until you show it, the page is a draft: only you and your team can open it, with Preview.
Write the page
- A blank line starts a new paragraph.
- Start a line with "- " to make a bullet point.
- Change the Address if you want a different one. Changing it later breaks links people already have.
- Name in the menu is optional, for a shorter name than the title.
Only promise what you'll honor. For financing, name a lender only if you have an agreement with them.
Arrange the menu
Under Menu you see every link at the top of your website, in order:
- Press the arrows to move a link up or down.
- Type a new name to rename it. Leave it empty to keep the usual one.
- Untick Show to hide it.
- Under Add a link, add a name and an address, either a page of your site starting with / or a full address starting with https://, then press Add link.
Press Save menu when you're done. Book online and your phone number are always in the menu. Use my design's menu puts it back the way your design had it.
Some designs show only the first 4 links on a computer and the rest in the phone menu. New pages are added to the end of the menu, and your Careers page can be added once you post a job.
Delete a page
Open the page and press Delete page. It comes off your website and your menu straight away.
