When you import a customer list, Zome doesn't assume everyone agreed to marketing. Imported customers who are marked as agreed in your file are left out of every campaign, win-back note and service reminder until you confirm.
What you see
In Follow-ups, a box says "(number) imported customers left out until you confirm they agreed to hear from you." A campaign says it goes to the customers who agreed to hear from you, "not the (number) imported".
Confirm it
- Go to Follow-ups.
- Read the box, then tick: "I confirm these customers agreed to receive marketing from my business, and I can show when and how if asked."
- Press Confirm and include them.
You'll see "Confirmed. Your imported customers are now included". Only the account owner can do this, and you do it once. Zome saves the confirmation and the time, and adds a line to Activity.
If you press the button without ticking, you'll see "Tick the box to confirm, so your imported customers can be included".
Only confirm if it's true
Confirm only if the people in your file really agreed: they signed up for your list, asked for reminders, or said yes. If you're not sure for some of them, remove them from the file before importing. Customers who didn't agree can still get review requests and job messages.
Texts need their own yes
Texts only go to people your file marks yes in a text-consent column, such as sms_consent. Agreeing to emails doesn't mean agreeing to texts: skipped ones show "They agreed to emails only, not texts."
