Directories on Google and listings is a checklist of places homeowners look besides Google. It shows how many you've done, like "3 of 10".
The list
Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect, Bing Places, Yelp, Facebook, Nextdoor, Better Business Bureau, Angi, Houzz and Thumbtack.
Not every one is right for every trade. Start with Google, Apple and Bing, then add the ones your customers use. Some sites charge for extras. A free basic listing is enough.
For each one
- Press Open (name) to go to the site and claim or create your listing.
- Paste in your details from Your details, exactly as they should appear.
- Back in Zome, choose a status: Not done yet, Listed, details match or Was wrong, now fixed.
- For sites with public profile pages, paste the Profile link (optional). Zome adds it to your website too, so Google knows the profile is yours.
- Press Save.
The row changes from To do to Listed or Fixed.
Be careful
- Only claim listings for your own business.
- Don't pay a company that promises to "submit you to hundreds of directories". Zome doesn't need that, and neither does Google.
- Keep your details the same everywhere.
