A customer searching for "drain cleaning in Beaverton" is looking for one service in one town. Zome gives each service and each town its own page, so Google has a page that answers that search.
Service pages
Each service you add under Website, Services and prices gets its own page. Make it yours by filling in:
- About this service, in your words
- What's included, one per line
- Questions customers ask
A service with none of these shows Add your own words. A few true sentences about how you do the job make the page more useful to customers and to Google.
Town pages
Every town under Service area is listed on your website. A town page is opened up to Google when it says something no other page does:
- it is your home town, or
- you wrote about working there (at least 40 characters in About working in (town)), or
- you have real jobs done there on your site.
Other towns stay listed and linked, but their pages are kept out of Google, so your site never looks like a copy-and-paste page for every town.
The badge on each town says In Google or Listed.
What to write
Write only what's true: how often you work there, how soon you can usually get there, the kind of homes and jobs you see. Don't make up landmarks or travel times.
What it doesn't do
In Google means the page is open to Google. It doesn't decide where it ranks, and nobody can promise a position.
Projects
Projects with a few sentences about the job also get their own page. See How do I show projects with before and after photos?.
