You can take a page off your website without deleting it. Your words stay in the editor.
Hide it
- Open the page from the Editing menu.
- Turn off Show on my website, or press Hide page in the top bar.
The editor says "This page is hidden from your website". In the Editing menu it is tagged Not shown yet. Only you and your team can see it.
Show it again
Turn Show on my website back on, or press Show page. A page can only be shown when something is written under at least one heading.
If your website isn't published yet, it says "This page will show when your website is published". Otherwise it says "This page is on your website".
A shown page can't be left empty
If a page is shown and you delete all its writing, the editor won't save it, because the live page would be empty. It asks you to write something or hide the page. See The "Not saved" banner in the editor: what to do.
Hide or delete?
- Hide keeps the page for later.
- Delete this page removes it for good, and takes it out of the menu.
