Each section can have its own colors and its own amount of space, without changing the rest of your site.
Open the settings
In the editor, select a section and press Edit settings on its toolbar, or pick it in the Sections list. At the bottom of its settings you'll find Section look.
Color
- Default: the colors your style gives the section
- Light: white, with dark text
- Soft: a pale tint of your brand color, with dark text
- Brand: your brand color, with text that stays readable on it
- Dark: near black, with light text
Text is kept readable whatever brand color you picked. If your brand color can't be used as it is on Brand, a note under the choices says so.
On a hero with a photo, the section keeps its photo and the words on it. The color shows around and behind the photo.
Height
- Compact: less space above and below
- Standard: the spacing your style gives the section
- Roomy: more space above and below
- Fill screen: at least as tall as the screen. Only the hero has this.
Some styles already draw the hero a full screen tall. There, Fill screen looks like Standard, and Compact makes it shorter.
Back to normal
Choose Default and Standard to go back to how your style draws the section.
