Photos fit different spaces on different screens, so your site crops them. A focus point tells it which part to keep. Without one, the center is kept, and a face or a truck can get cut off.
Set the focus
- Open the settings of a section with a photo, like the hero, a gallery photo, a project or a service photo.
- Press Focus next to the photo. The window is called Choose what stays in view.
- Drag the dot to the most important part of the photo.
- Check the two small previews: On a wide screen and On a phone.
- Press Done.
After you set it, the button says Focus ยท set.
Without dragging
- Use the Left to right and Top to bottom sliders.
- Click the photo, then use the arrow keys to move the dot. Hold Shift for bigger steps.
- Back to the center puts it back.
Saving and undo
The focus is saved as percentages on that photo. A drag is one undo step.
Tips
- Put the dot on the subject: a face, the finished patio, the front of the house.
- Check both previews, because the same photo is cropped differently on a wide screen and on a phone.
- Photos with their subject in the middle need no focus at all.
