Nothing you do in the editor changes your live website until you publish. Visitors keep seeing the published version.
Saving
The editor saves as you go. Next to the Publish button, a status tells you where you are: Saving…, Draft saved, Unsaved changes, Not saved or Published. If you see "Could not reach the server. Your changes are kept here and we keep trying.", check your internet and keep the tab open. See The "Not saved" banner in the editor: what to do.
Preview
- Desktop and Mobile at the top switch the size of the preview. Most visitors are on a phone, so check Mobile.
- Preview opens your draft in a new tab, as visitors will see it once published.
- On a phone, switch between Page and Design.
Undo a mistake
Press Undo to take back your last change and Redo to bring it back. Rewrites from Write new text or Ask Zome to change your site can be undone too.
Throw the draft away
Discard changes appears when your draft differs from the live site. Press it and confirm "Throw away your unpublished changes and go back to the live version?" Your draft is gone.
Publish
The button reads Publish website the first time, then Publish changes whenever your draft differs from what's live, and Published when they match. After it goes live you'll see "Your website is live" with a View site link.
