A page has a title (what people read at the top), a name in the menu, and an address (what comes after your domain).
Change the title or menu name
- Open the page from the Editing menu.
- Press Page settings and stay on the General tab.
- Change Page title. Add a shorter Name in the menu if you like (up to 24 characters).
Change the address
- In the same tab, change Address. It becomes part of the page's web address, like yoursite.com/financing.
- Press Done. The address is saved when you close the window.
Zome turns what you type into a clean address with lowercase letters and dashes, and shows you what it will be saved as. If another page already has the address, Zome adds a number. If your website already uses the word (like "services" or "book"), the page gets "-page" on the end, and the editor tells you.
What happens to the old address
The old address keeps working. Anyone who opens it is sent to the new one. Zome also updates the menu link for you. The old address is saved as a redirect, so it also shows in the list under Your old website's addresses on the Domain tab.
What it doesn't change
The address of your home page stays the same.
Do it sparingly
Search engines and customers learn an address over time. Rename a page because the old name was wrong, not for fun.
