Press Publish website in the editor. If anything important is missing, a Before you go live box asks for it.
What it asks for
- Business phone: customers can call you from your site. Without a number the Call buttons are hidden.
- Towns you serve: each town gets its own page on Google.
- Opening hours: Zome uses the hours it has until you set yours. Press the link to set them in Settings.
Fill them in, then press Publish now.
Check these yourself
- Your phone number, address and email.
- Your services, and prices you're happy to show.
- Photos of your own work. See How do I add photos of my work?.
- The preview on Mobile.
- Your Google review link, so review requests work. See Add your Google review link.
The first publish is checked
The Zome team checks every new site before it goes live, so nobody can publish as someone else. You'll see: "Your website is saved and private. We check every new site before it goes live, so nobody can publish as someone else. You'll see the result in your Activity feed, and we'll email you too when email is switched on."
Your site stays private until then. You can keep editing. You don't need to ask: you'll see the result in your Activity feed. During launch, Zome staff check each new site personally, and we don't promise a time. This applies to a first publish only. Sites that are already live aren't affected. See What does "your first publish is checked" mean?.
